Well the banquet is this coming weekend and I was wondering if there have been any grumblings on driver changes for 2011? This is the time of the year you usually start to hear something.

Who will be in the 52 and 46?
Is Blewett going to be in the 14 next year?
Will Coby finally get a ride after producing great finishes for many different cars last year?
Any new teams joining the tour for next year?

Lol I already tried the Reggie / Fiore suggestion.... monadnock would be perfect place for it.

All I know, is that Matt Hirschman deserves to be on the WMT, full time.

And the same is true for Doug Coby.

Both of these drivers are some of the best drivers out there. And if the WMT is about putting the best drivers out there, then they belong!

I talked to the 80 team Mike Speeney that ran at Stafford last year for the one race in august and I think one of their guys told me that they were planning to run on the tour in 2011

I think it's time for Eric Berndt and the #54 Team to finally go full time. They've shown that they are very close to breaking into the winners circle.

Keith Rocco's teams probably made more money winning the Whelen All American Series so no need to go WMT racing just yet.

Danny Knoll Jr is selling his car to go dirt racing with his kids .
was also told that chuck hossfeld bought a dirt mod ( so what are his pavement plans ) .

Byron Chews tour car was in the troyer booth at the parts peddler show .

Steve Park along with Sheba Racing and Sunoco race fuels are back together and will be the 2011 tour champions .

you know, I always wonder why guys like Park, Fuller, Spencer, brett, Mclaughin etc never came back to their mod roots once their time down south was up. I guess once you make more for finishing last in once race than you do for a whole season on the modified tour they just don't have the fire anymore.

Omg. Jim and I used to work for stroker smith in the 70's. I remember 4 of us welding together a linblad kit car. Never realised how much welding went into one of those. No jig either. Right on the garage floor w a tape measure and chalk.....lol. that replaced the pinto we got from donnie aires. In the 80's we bought an Joe Brady car..... went to riverside to check it out. Reg had motor issues and ended up in the 00. Joe tells him take it easy. Motor has 0 laps...the reg goes out and runs some of the fastest laps ever run there.... Joe says when he came in...thought I told ya to take it easy.. Reggie has that boyish evil grin and says I was. Do I have to say who won that night!

Wall Stadium has racing operator signed for 2011
"Full schedule" of races planned

By BONNIE DELANEY • STAFF WRITER • January 4, 2011

WALL — Start your engines! Wall Stadium will reopen this spring with race car owner and entrepreneur Clifford Krause at the helm.

Krause, a 58-year-old Holmdel resident whose 20-year-old son, Andrew, has raced for the past two years in Wall's Sportsman division, Tuesday signed a one-year lease — from Jan. 15, 2011, to Jan. 15, 2012, with a yearly option to renew — with the five owners of the track.

He said he formed a company, CK Motorsports LLC, to conduct weekly Saturday night stock car races at the track, as well as to hold special events.

"We'll have a full schedule with 20 to 24 races, and so far, Formula Drift will be a part of that," said Krause, the owner of Supreme Manufacturing in East Brunswick, a business that started 36 years ago when he got the idea to mix, package and distribute whiskey sour mix.

Today, that business has 46 employees and manufactures between 17,000 and 22,000 gallons of beverage concentrates and whiskey sour mix daily.

Krause said that modified racer Jamie Tomaino, 54, of Howell will be director of operations at the track and his wife, Diane, will help run the front office along with longtime track employees.

"She was born and raised with racing as she was growing up in Pennsylvania," he added.

With the exception of the Turkey Derby races in November, the track has been closed since August when former track promoter Jim Morton and the owners of the 60-year-old stock car track failed to reach a new lease agreement.

The track reopened for the Turkey Derby, which was held under the sponsorship of Don Ling, John Blewett Sr. and their families.
