Mountain Madness Enduro Series 5th annual "Frostbite" enduro event set for Saturday, January 8th
With Elvis Presley Impersonator Contest...

In what has become an annual tradition at the speedway, the Mountain Madness Enduro Series will celebrate the birth of the new year on Saturday, January 8th with the 5th annual "Frostbite" Enduro event. This fender rubbing style of bump and run racing makes for an entertaining afternoon that will surely warm your racing soul, as the action heats up on track. Both the 4 cylinder and 6/8 cylinder cars will compete in 100 lap events, with a cool $500 bucks awarded to the winner. Promoter Joe Callavini, along with Chief Steward Mike Odwazny, and Race Director Mark Mollitt, have simplified the Enduro rules for 2011 to make it as easy as possible for anyone to prepare a car for competition in just a few hours. By removing all interior plastic and glass (with the exception of the windshield), and installing some basic safety essentials, a race ready car should take little more than an afternoon to prepare in your driveway, without the need for any special tools.
The January 8th event will also have a fun theme, as it is the birth date of the "The King of Rock and Roll" Elvis Presley. An Elvis impersonation contest will also take place at intermission hosted by track announcers Gene Ostrowski, and "Rowdy" Larry Spencer.
Details will be forthcoming on the speedway website at either www.sundancevacationsspeedway.com or www.mountainspeedway.com
...so come on out and participate in this great event, and bring your hunka hunk of burning rubber...as we shake, rattle, and roll...Enduro style. Thank Ya, Thank Ya very much!
Enduro drivers from all over the northeast are expected to attend, and the action begins at 1 PM. Pits will be open at 9 AM, with the grandstands opening at 12 Noon.
