The 2010 racing season brought a new perspective for AJ, turning his first laps on dirt at Bridgeport Speedway's inner oval this past August. During the course of the night’s events, AJ got accustomed to the clay oval, clicking off progressively quicker laps, working the top and the bottom grooves, and moving up into the top five. With great improvement over the course of one night and a dusty grin in the pits afterward, it's likely AJ will return to a dirt track in 2011. After the limited and educational schedule of events in 2010, the new resident of Hillsborough, New Jersey is stepping out of his annual frontstretch grandstand seats with friends at Boardwalk Hall to get behind the wheel of one of Paul Lotier's well equipped Slingshots. Lotier and the Slingerwarehouse.com team have won 2 of the last 3 Atlantic City Slingshot races, and AJ is ready to duplicate his quick adaptation to dirt in the Herr's Snack Bowl 25 at Boardwalk Hall's tight concrete oval. Accompanying AJ in the Lotier slingshot team will be Chris Grbac from the dirt Sportsman division at New Egypt Speedway & Kyle Lear from the dirt Late Model Division at Hagerstown Speedway. Lotier will also be looking to take home some hardware in the 1B TQ midget at the Gamblers Classic. Wright and the team are actively pursuing additional sponsorship for the January 29 & 30 event.
