WALL STADIUM SETS APRIL 16, 2011 SEASON OPENER; PRACTICE PLANNED FOR APRIL 2 AND 9
Wall Stadium speedway operator Cliff Krause has announced that the 2011 stock car racing season opener is now set for Saturday, April 16. That season opening program will feature the Wall Modified, Sportsman, Street Stock, Legend Cars and Factory Stock divisions. Gate opening and race starting times will be announced soon. Krause also said that the third mile high-banked oval speedway would be open for paid practice sessions on both April 2 and April 9.
“We still have just a few more confirmations to make and the entire schedule will be ready,” Krause said. “We should be able to release the schedule very soon. Meanwhile, we wanted everyone to know the dates of the practice sessions and the season opener so that they could be ready.”
Current plans call for Saturday evening stock car racing events to run until the end of September featuring Wall Modified, Sportsman, Street Stock, Factory Stock and Legend Cars divisions. Each of these “regular divisions” will have a few Saturday nights off during the regular season. Visiting divisions are being considered for the 2011 campaign and the “Turkey Derby.”
