BLEWETT RECYCLING TO SPONSOR WALL STADIUM SPEEDWAY
SPORTSMAN SERIES POINT FUND IN 2011

Wall Stadium Speedway operator Cliff Krause has announced that long-time auto racing supporter John Blewett, Sr., through his company John Blewett Inc. Scrap and Waste Recycling, will sponsor the speedway’s Sportsman division point fund for the 2011 season. Blewett, whose family has been involved in racing for several decades, will fund the season-long points awards for $10,000.

“I am really thrilled that Mr. Blewett has stepped up to support the speedway and the Sportsman division,” Krause said. “John Blewett Inc. Scrap and Waste Recycling is a very respected company in central New Jersey and the fact that he is supporting Wall Stadium is very positive for the track.”

Krause added that in addition to point fund sponsorships, other plans which include race night sponsorships; billboard sponsorships and special award sponsorships are also available.

While Mr. Blewett will be keeping an eye on the action of the entire John Blewett Recycling Sportsman division this season, he will be paying particular attention to the No. 14 of rookie driver Shawna Ingraham. Shawna, the granddaughter of racing supporter Don Ling, will be at the wheel of a former Dick Barney owned Raceworks Modified, which will also be sponsored by Blewett Recycling.

Work at the speedway is progressing towards Saturdays April 2 and April 9 when two preseason paid practice sessions will be presented. On both April 2 and April 9, the pit area will open at 10:00 a.m. for racecar inspections; while on-track practice will begin at 11:00 a.m. Inspections and practice will continue through 3:00 p.m. both days.

Once testing is completed, all attention will turn towards Saturday, April 16 and the official 2011 Season Opener. That season opening program will feature the Wall Modified, Sportsman, Street Stock, Legend Cars and Factory Stock divisions. An “On Track Party,” where fans will be welcome from the grandstands onto the track to check out all of the racecars up close, will be a part of the season opening festivities.

Weekly Saturday evening stock car racing events will then run until the end of September, with the exception of June 18 when the annual “Formula D Drift Championship” will be presented.
