I looked on Thompson's site for an entry list and didn't see one or couldn't find it. Does anyone have a list as to who is in which car this year?

I think 3 of your full timers will not be racing and 1 more will be part time. And/or about that in some combination of either... lol

I would love too but that's up to the team to do. I did talk to those involved.

I think historically, Thompson’s website usually puts the entry list up about a week or so before the race. I am guessing the official entry list should be up in a few days.

Here's something you can bank on ... the entry list will be posted on nascarhometracks.com every Monday of race week in the News & Notes story. We are exploring options of getting it in a place that is easier to find, but if you can remember to look there, you'll always find it.

The maximum starting field for the NWMT Icebreaker is 37 cars.

You don't have to declare before the season like the national series, but they'll need to make a decision prior to entering the combo race at Bristol, and then again at September Thompson.

Same for Patrick Emerling, if they continue with both Tours.

Seems a shame that they support both tours and can't get points for both series.

Jason, here is a question I've had asked to me and I have had on my mind....we understand about the Bristol race because it is a combination race. As far as Thompson though, why would they have to declare which one they are running for points. The way I have read this, they are 2 separate 125 lap events with points for each event (http://hometracks.nascar.com/Release/NASCAR_Releases_2011_Whelen_Mod_Schedule) with a combination race (50 lapper) for NO Points and Just Money after. As per the wording to me it would be legal for them to run both races and earn points for each one.....what happens when TC shows up with the 36 car for the North and then Runs the 00 car for the South?? Will that be legal? In my eyes i think it would be.

not to mention they will probably need the 00 and a few others to get a full southern field. might be a good race for ROC/TV cars to get in on. Are the purses equal for both the South and North races?

RE: Magicshoes12

I'm not pertinent to negotiations between the track and NASCAR, so in the interest of providing a timely response, I cannot give you an official reply at this time.

It is my understanding, however, that this event is designed to be a true North vs. South deal, and thus equal representation in the 50-lap shootout.

The finer details will be provided by the track closer to the event date.
