With the traditional American-Canadian Tour "Governors Cup 150" April 16th & 17th, and the 2011 season opener featuring weekly NASCAR sanctioned stock car racing beginning May 6th, Lee USA Speedway officials are busily preparing for the new season, the 25th year under the ownership of Red and Judy MacDonald.

The new schedule includes everything from a weekly four-in-one program to special events with the ISMA Super Modifieds, Valenti Modified Racing Series, NEMA Midgets, PASS Super-Late Models, and a special Pro-Stock Series partnered with Canaan Fair Speedway, Canaan, NH.

The weekly NASCAR Whelen All-American Series program will feature the Benson Lumber & Hardware Small-Block Super Modifieds as the tracks top NASCAR division. The Prime Storage Late Model Sportsman, David's Race Cars Hobby Stocks, and Picnic Table Factory Iron Man divisions will also be part of the weekly card.

Track manager Bob Watson has been hard at work, structuring the new schedule, planning his annual Lilac Mall Race Car show, securing sponsorships, and involving new business in the speedways plan.

Watson explained, "Through the effort of long-time racer Dave Storey and his commitment to racing at Lee, the Super Modified Division Champion will receive $5,000 from Benson Lumber and Hardware at the season ending banquet. Benson's will be the sponsor of the divisions point fund and bonus program."

"Our new E-Keys 4 Cars electronic message center is in and ready for installation as soon as the ground and weather cooperates. The new board is capable of texts, messages, and video clips, and is made by Infinite Creative Enterprises, right in Kingston. This board is going to be very useful in a lot of ways," Watson said.

Rochester Sport Center, Barrington. NH., will provide a new ATV for use with the tracks new track cleaner purchased during the off-season.

Race teams are encouraged to register by April 1st to benefit from the track's coupon program that enables them to save money when touring divisions appear at Lee increasing pit area fees. Each driver/owner is issued two coupons they may use for special events. Teams will pay the weekly program fee when redeeming the coupon.
