St. Johns, PA (April 1, 2011)- For the second straight weekend, unseasonable weather has rocked Northeastern Pennsylvania, and once again, Mountain Speedway is forced to cancel its practice sessions.
The decision came late, as track officials made every attempt to keep the weekend on schedule. However, Mother Nature wouldn’t have it.
The regular 2011 schedule hasn’t been impacted by the cancellations and the originally scheduled opening weekend for the “B Program”, which consists of a day of time trials for the Sport Modifieds, Late Models and Factory Stocks will take place on Saturday, April 9. A 6/8-Cylinder Mountain Madness enduro will follow. Drivers will take to the track again on Sunday, April 10 for feature events and the INEX Legends will make their first appearance of the season. All races will feature the cone racing format, which was a hit last season.
