Six divisions in action

Fresh off its season-opening Budweiser
Blastoff Weekend held April 2 and 3, the Waterford Speedbowl will roll
right into weekly Saturday night racing beginning this Saturday, April 9.
The famed shoreline speed-plant is the first in New England to leap into
its weekly racing calendar. Six divisions of racing are scheduled for
most Saturday nights in 2011 including this Saturday, up from five a year
ago.

The NASCAR Whelen All-American Series program continues at the Speedbowl
for its 11th consecutive season, headlined weekly by the SK Modified®
division. The Bob Valenti Auto Mall Late Models, Street Stocks and Mini
Stocks are also part of the weekly NASCAR program. Other Speedbowl
divisions and regional touring series will rotate appearances, completing
the six division race programs. This Saturday the Legends Cars and
Bandolero youth racing division will join the Speedbowl’s NASCAR Whelen
All-American Series racing divisions.

Pit gates open at 2:00pm, with practice rounds commencing at 3:00pm
Saturday. Grandstand gates also open at 3:00pm and qualifying races
getting started at 5:30pm. As is tradition at the Speedbowl, main events
will once again begin at 7:00pm weekly. Saturday night racing programs
run through approximately 9:30pm weekly.

Grandstands admissions are available for $15.00 for adults, $5.00 for
youth age 6 through 14, with all kids age 5 and under admitted free. Once
again in 2011, the Speedbowl offers acres of free parking for event
nights.

Waterford Speedbowl gift cards are now on-sale in any denomination, good
towards event admission and accepted at the main concessions stand. More
details including Saturday’s race day schedule of events and full 2011
schedule are available by visiting Speedbowl.com (http://www.speedbowl.com).
