As you all know, we are having problems with almost every feature of Grandview Speedway...now, the problem has become administrative.

I need your input ASAP.

We need to look forward to finding NEETS a new home....you will decide whether it be now or later.

NOW:
We call the 2011 season a complete wash. This season whether it is finished elsewhere or not will NOT be for points. We spend as much time as possible finding NEETS a new home once and for all....hopefully. This will pretty much be like 2008 all over again.

LATER:
We run the events...with transponder for at least one more time... We will have cameras recording START/FINISH, PIT ENTRANCE & PIT EXIT. ERIN AND I will score the events at home, with no interruption or mechanical intervention. Purses will not be paid out at the races, drivers will receive check in the mail and trophies at next event. Transponders MAY/MAY NOT be used at all..... The finishing order we determine is final and no outside input will be heard.

Most of our officials have already made a decision about this...but, you are the ones who make the difference. THIS IS YOUR SERIES TOO!!!!!!

Please choose wisely and quickly...the next race is approaching quickly. Phone calls will be placed to our non-internet users, but spread the word if you can...please.

All I ask is if you can keep opinions and jokes OFF OF THIS THREAD.

Thank you....

Later Joe, I already set up my vacation schedule for this year. Put the big tires over the bad spot again, obstacles make our racing more interesting anyhow.

It's not a bad "spot"...we had cars picking up high and low...

I'd try to get the season in, wherever it might be? Maybe cut back on the points, point $$ and the banquet for one year???

Joe, you already know how I feel about the transponders. And we all lost the battle of the water truck long ago but despite all of that and any other issues that you may be having with Grandview management, I vote we still try and complete the season and look elsewhere for 2012 if we have to. Like what rustyboltz said, modify the points fund, skip the banquet, whatever it takes to make your life easier so that you can focus on the bigger picture moving forward.

Ok I know I am going to catch a beating for this, but we are racing an enduro race. Correct? We race with obstacles on the track. Now we have a obstacle in the car. Joe and Erin have always been fair with everything that has to do with this series. Let's all put our trust in them, the finish is final. If it is not to your liking then just figure I was beat by the obstacle strapped to my car. I would really hate to lose a track and damage a series that is on the rise. I run a business in this poor economy, and I know how much give and take goes into it. Joe and Erin are doing a lot of give Without any take just to give us a place to do what we all love to do. Now it is up to us the racers to give a little. Joe and Erin onward and forward I trust in your decisions and wish for you to continue this series. Please do not can the season I don't think that is necessary. Scott Dunn #03

Finish off the season at G-view Joe. Sub par racing is better than none at all. Leaving now will only give NEETS a black eye. However it's your choice and I will back you in any way I can.

I just want to remind everyone here who is saying just finish it out......remember, this was race #1......we have 7 more to go....9 if you count the saturday night races.

You all endure each race...but, we are enduring with the irreparable damage being done to the series and its reputation....we've been called THE BEST because of what we do for our drivers...this decision that has to be made is in the best interest of the drivers...

Keep 'em coming guys!

Dust off a flop clock and put scorers in the stands, whether we run transponders or not. Many tracks still use this system BECAUSE IT WORKS! Let's Race!

Joe/Erin it sounds like you have had enough of grandview and its related problems...........................:disgusted
Start talking to the promoters at Wall or Big Diamond and get outa there before you totally lose the series......................
Whatever you decide, please take control of NEETS's destiny...................:applause:

I agree with alot of points here
a lose the transponders !!! it will save every one $ and headaches.. the system just doesnt seem to work right anyway
b.use both the camera and manual scoring methods
c. you as a driver must supply a scorer, they pick # from hat and thats the car they score, or they score for you whatever., remember cameras don't cheat or lie ..
d. and this is the most important !!!!!!! Joe and Erin put a LOT into this series, and it is up to us to help them make and keep this series successful !!!!! Keep all the positive ideas coming not everyone can think of everything so if we all stay as ONE things can only improve !!!!!

Im all for racing the complete season at Grandview .My other cars will be there also. Still utilize the transponders for the sake of all who just put out the $460 for them. along with Manual scoring along with a video camera. The $10,000 to win race at Blackrock was run with the manual scoring and video camera and was not official till the race is verified by the video. If you manual score each competitor is responsible for his own scoring. DO not use the idea of scoring some one elses car. If some one does not have a scorer than they can go pot luck on transponder system. Also need the vertical # on the roof for camera.

Although I am only 5min from grandview. I am having a really hard time wanting to race there. I'm still trying to figure out why we are giving our hard earned money to someone who doesn't care about the neets series or what any of the drivers have to say about track conditions.
We need to find a track that will work with the drivers and the promoters. I know that sounds easier said then done but something has to be done.
Joe whatever you decide I know will be in the best interest of the drivers and neets racing.....so if that means racing a big diamond or wherever make it happen and lets move on!!
See everyone at the next race wherever is it!!

Im with Garner! Joe, I trust your decision. I will be at the next race as well but if the problems continue with Grandview I can't say for sure that I will be back for the following race. My first thought is to try to join Big Diamond's enduro... but I can't say that is the best avenue to take because I have yet to run there. I have only heard good things. I also hear the surface is aswome and the water supply is much less! No matter what Joe and the gang decide they will never make everyone happy. Do what you think is best... the best of luck to ya!!!

How are the transponders and watering the track making such a big hassle?? When we race at Nazerth speedway enduro's they would tear the track up and not run it in and SOAK the track, it would take an hour or more for the track to dry out before we could really start racing. The amount of water that they put on at Grandview is nothing compared to what it was at Nazerth Speedway. With the transponders i had one problem last year where the whole in the car was not big enough and my car radio was inferring with the transponder so i moved the radio over to my driver's side seat and now have no problem at all. LET'S KEEPTHE TRANSPONDERS. Manual scoring may be okay but there may be people that would still keep scoring their driver when they go into the pits. I don't agree with manual scoring. Payout should be given to the drivers at the end of the day. Let's not be like sundance and have to wait for a check in the mail.
WHAT IS THE POINT OF RACING IF THERE IS NO POINTS AND NO RACING BANQUET????? LET'S FINISH AT GRANDVIEW.

I may have a solution for you all.......just hang in there a few more hours until I get home and can type with my laptop!

I don't want to be a pain in the butt about this but please...when talking about this, it is open for discussion on the forum and we are willing to talk about it over the phone but please please PLEASE be respectful of what TIME the phone call is taken place. We both work very early in the morning and do not have a house phone, we have cell phones that do remain on at night in case of a family emergency (because God knows I have had a ton of them in the last few months). If it is not a dire emergency it can wait until a reasonable hour...Drama/heresay does NOT constitute as an emergency. I know Joe is probably going to be mad at me for saying it but I feel it is disrespectful so that's my final plea.

Im confused...

I wasnt aware there were any troubles with transponders or anything else. Mine worked fine. It was mounted the way it should be. We dont have issues on saturday nights, why do some people have issues on sundays at the neets races? and manual scoring, how the hell do u know if the scorer is not cheating? i think thats a bad idea and always has been.

as for grandview, I have 0 complaints about the water. it was my favorite part of the race and it showed who really knew how to keep there composure and who could really drive. although it also showed the idiots who just gunned it and wrecked there cars as well as others.

my only complaint was the money. ive been in racing nearly my whole life. i know what the costs of professional racing are, and neets was CHEAP compared to professional racing! still though, it upset me when joe and erin were forced to raise the price 15 dollars only because i knew it was grandviews decision. maybe we should rename the series BPG racing enduro tour, than they will wipe our arses for us and all, lets save the rest of that for another day...

not to sound selfish, but i was also disappointed about last years points fund. it was to my understanding that 10 place got a similar sized trophy and close to the same amount in payout. that was basically a kick to the face considering I got 5th in points. it isnt a big deal, i didnt care about the money or the trophy, its just the principal. the race payout as well needs to be reworked. this enduro series is pretty much a factory stock class. the rules have changed drastically. the wealth needs to be spread to the top 10 finishers at a minimum. the winner needs to get less. its also a kick in the face to the late model drivers considering they get 750 to win for spending 30 grand on a car. i know a few drivers that are discouraged to the neets series due to that fact alone.

ive stated my opinion, i dont believe things are bad enough to cancel the series for the year. if there are transponder issues, im pretty sure its due to the person not mounting it correctly. cause i have not seen any issues on saturday nights unless were not being told something.

erin and joe, your both good people and I hope things turn out for the best, even if joe does have a stinky (_|_). dont give up. good luck to you and the rest of the neets family, I know the issues will be solved eventually and everything will get back on track, literally. lol

danger..I hear what you saying but when you have the same car with the same mounting plate work one race and not the next?? That is a problem....and the water sucks lol :)

To be fair, you called while we were at New Egypt and we couldn't hear eachother talk let alone take a phone call and we got home really late, we had a lot of manual scoring to do on Sunday (our "day off") and Joe was on the phone ALL DAY Monday then we got a phone call at 1215am when we go to bed between 9-930 for work...he doesn't NOT reply, give him a chance to reply and he will get back to you...it was not life or death therefore it was not a priority to call back that late...he is available sometimes during the day pending he's not on an inspection or in Solebury. (Tues/Thurs). You can send him an email anytime and he will get back to you as soon as he gets a second...

We both have full time jobs but try to be as reachable as possible you just have to be patient because sometimes we are pretty busy!!

I have been around NEETS since 2004, and this is a Bad situation you guys are in right now. I HATE that watertruck and i wish i can slash its tires before the next race but its a part of the ENDURO factor. Dont scratch the season Joe, i do everything i can to get to Grandview to race. In 2007 we hand scored down big diamond, sure it was apain in the ass scoring for my dad but it all worked out. Thats all you guys have to do is bring a scorer with you, i dont wanna hear any BS that you cant find anyone to do it, in that case just say home. Other than that just run NEETS completly independent from Grandview, screw management, be the rebel. I hope i have a dirt track to race at cause thats what i love to do
