Adds divisions to April 30 schedule of events

For the second consecutive week Waterford
Speedbowl has been forced to cancel tonight’s scheduled NASCAR Whelen
All-American Series racing program due to weather.

The next scheduled event is Saturday, April 30’s NASCAR Whelen
All-American Series racing program. Due to the past two rainouts, the
event will have added reasons for race fans and racers to come out to
enjoy a night of side-by-side action at the ‘Bowl. Due to popular
demand, Speedbowl management has added the Street Stock, Super X-Car, and
X-Car divisions to the April 30 event making it a 9-division night of
racing for the same price courtesy of track management. The added
divisions join the SK Modifieds®, Bob Valenti Auto Mall Late Models, Mini
Stocks, Legends Cars and the visiting Allison Legacy North Series and New
England Truck Series on the event card.

For Super X-Car and X-Car competitors, April 30 will be the final chance
to tune up for their Wild ‘n Wacky Wednesday season slated to begin on
Wednesday, May 4. Each division’s race results will count towards their
Saturday Showdown Series standings, originally scheduled as part of April
16’s race program. They will each compete in 20-lap feature events.

The Street Stocks have also been added after the weather cancellation of
the previous two scheduled events for the division. Due to the request
of many division supporters, the event will be a 33-lap race in honor of
their fellow competitor Chuck “Uncle Buck” Rogers, who recently passed
away. The Mini Stocks will also compete in a 33-lap memorial race on
April 30, originally scheduled for April 23.

The Allison Legacy Series will be making its first appearance of the 2011
season, while Corey Coates of Ledyard is looking to repeat his New England
Truck Series win on April 2 during the season-opening Budweiser Blastoff
weekend.

General admission is set at $15.00 for adults and $5.00 for youth ages 6
through 14. Children under age 6 are free, and the Speedbowl offers acres
of free event parking. Opening ceremonies are slated for 7:00pm, followed
by feature racing.
