View Full Version : $30,000 Plus For Star Modified Open So Far

As of now the June 4 Modified Open Show at Star is a $30,000 purse. I am hoping to get it up to about $33,000 by race day, mostly by selling the remaining laps. Sponsored laps will go to both the leader and another top ten car by draw on each lap. If you can help please email me at: StarPress2011@aol.com.
The entry forms, rules, purse and schedule will be available to race teams this weekend at Stafford and Monadnock, and online sometime next week. Your support is GREATLY appreciated as we try and raise money from this event to pay race teams who never got paid after the four-race series in 2008.

Any word on teams running Star in the month of May? With both tours being off for a few weeks I figured a few might head up in preparation of the June 4th open event.

Jon McKennedy, Louie Mechalides, Steve Masse on May 14, Andy Seuss, Jacob Dore and Todd Annarummo on May 21. There could be more that I am not aware of.
The feedback from both WMT and VMRS was very positive this weekend. An entry list for the June 4 event will be posted on this site May 29th.

I just heard that the dash for for the pole is paying $500, any truth to that?

I heard same thing. Checking to see if that 500 is split between drivers or if it all goes to the winner. I'm guessing all to the winner, but will confirm when I find out for sure.

$500 for the pole is a great promotion. Did the track put that up or is there a sponsor behind the $500? What do we have to do to make it $750 or even a $1000? The lap sponsor board is looking good as well. This should be a great event.

Ok, we're less than a week away. Looks like a lot of big names will be heading to Epping for this race. Has an official entry list been posted?
