Waterford Speedbowl has cancelled tonight’s scheduled Wild 'n Wacky Wednesday season opening racing program due to weather.
The Speedbowl is scheduled for action two additional nights this week, first with the season debut of "The Show and Go at the 'Bowl" Friday evening, featuring 100 foot spectator drags and cruise night. The event offers free grandstands admission for all and begins at 6:00pm.
On Saturday, a five-division NASCAR Whelen All-American Series race program including an extra distance Street Stock event is featured. In addition, it will be Suisman Shapiro Little League Night offering free youth admission to all youth in their team jersey. Ten will be selected to participate in the Beaver Bats Home Run Derby and teamed with a Speedbowl competitor to see which pair can hit the most "homeruns" over the Speedbowl fence. Qualifying gets started at 5:15pm and the Home Run Derby is scheduled for approximately 6:00pm. Featuring racing starts at 7:00pm.
