With two weeks in the books, the points ladders are starting to take shape at Bowman Gray Stadium.

In the GMAC Insurance Modified Series, Defending Champion Burt Myers of Walnut Cove started his year off strongly by winning the season-
opening GMAC Insurance 200. In last event, Myers finished second and seventh to stay on top of the points ladder.

Tim Brown of Rural Hall was disappointed with his 11th place finish in the season opener but turned around and took the checkered in last
event. Brown followed that up with an eighth place finish in the second race, boosting him from 11th to 6th in the points standings.

But the strongest performer in last event was Jonathan Brown of Winston-Salem. His fifth and second place finishes earned him more points
than any other Modified competitor – giving him just enough of an advantage to bump him from second in the points to tying Myers for the points
lead.

“Anytime you can run these 25-lappers, finish top-five in both of them, and roll the car on the trailer – it’s a good night,” said
Jonathan Brown. “We’re excited to be tied for the points lead right here two races in. We’re going to try and keep that name up top - keep it
there until the last race to get that big trophy at the end of the year.”

Brian Loftin of Lexington takes fourth and fifth to keep him third in the points rankings. Jason Myers of Walnut Cove leaps up from 10th
to tie John Smith of Mount Airy for fourth in the points.

After finishing second in the season-opening Sportsman race, Tommy Neal of Walkertown flew through the field in last event to claim the
checkered in the first race and a ninth place finish in the second race. Neal moves up to take over the points lead for the Webb Heating & A/C
Co. Sportsman Series. Luke Fleming of Mount Airy drops down to second.

In the 104.1 WTQR Street Stock Series, John McNeal of Winston-Salem has had the most impressive season of any competitor at the Stadium.

McNeal took second on opening night and grabbed the win in last event – giving him a nearly perfect record and a strong points lead. Defending
Champion Matt Cotner of King moves up to second in the points, with Billy Gregg of Winston-Salem taking over third.

Summer rain storms caused the postponement of the second race in last event for the Freeman’s Auto Center Stadium Stock Series. That race
will take place this Saturday with double the normal purse money and points awards.

This Saturday night, Jonathan Brown and Burt Myers will grapple over the points lead – it will be the Kevin Powell Motorsports 100. The
Modifieds will have a full-field draw for position, and the infamous Double-File Restart Rule will be in effect. And don’t forget the always
exciting racing for the Sportsman, Street Stock, and Stadium Stock Divisions.

Gates open at 6:00 for practice, qualifying begins at 7:10, and the first race begins at 8:00 PM – this Saturday night. Ticket prices,
directions, and more information can be found online at www.bowmangrayracing.com (http://www.bowmangrayracing.com) or by calling (336) 723-1819.
