Cruise Night Bald Hill

So I see everybody kind of has an interest in having a good turnout at the track. I see there are some thoughts about going to car shows. How about we try to all get together on Tuesday may 24th at bald hill. I figure if we go out the Tuesday before the race on Memorial Day we might be able to boost the crowd size. I have spoken with Pete Milano and he said he would be up for coming out with some videos and some DVD give always. If everyone likes this idea I would like it if you committed and stated what you would bring to the show. I want to kind of get an idea of how many cars would be there. Bring whatever you got grand, 8, 4, 6, truck etc. But please make sure whatever you bring is not a safety hazard to people walking around you car aka sharp edges torn up sheet metal etc. Let’s take some pride in our cars and clean up the edges.

I second this, as this was my first concern! Seems like we might have a few Grand Enduro cars coming out. I have gotten a few responses from other Enduro drivers and seems we might show up with a good amount of rides to show support. This is grass root racing!

I would be cool to do a few weeks with one week being legends, one week bbs, one week mods and so on!!! Think we could all pitch in and do something to promote our sport and hometrack! I would love to do an EEKR night down there too!

I could also tape Bench Racing at the same time!

Woot we should do the karts another night. I say we get 4 or 5 guys to haul trailers filled with karts!!! I know you guys out east would be down and fill the box truck. Let me talk with Dave and Joe Hodge about it! Think it's a great idea. Maybe get some of these kids in their driving suits and signing autographs :) Maybe the week of the EEKR Saturday night expo.

Also I'm still trying to figure out a show for us Nassau Country guys, probably at one of the firday night train station shows. Bellmore is a no-go the Cops are tough on non-street vehicles but Oceanside may work out.

How did it go last night.

Great time last night. We had three cars a 4 cyl 6 cyl truck and a grand. Got some sponsor exposure and did alot of track advertising, with thanks to Peter from pitbull for handing out free enduro race dvds. Going to go back next tue night. Its a lot of fun and the kids loved it whos in for next week...

Small crowd, due to incoming weather and we were in an alternate parking lot as the county fair was setting up in main parking. BUT we got tons of people asking about Enduros, Saturday night racing and got people asking about 100 foot drags....even got one guy about go-karts! Some great exposure for the track, our sport and future!

I was just at the car show in Bellmore on Sunrise Hwy this past friday and there was definitely at least 175 cars. It is $3 admission to bring your car in the lot and I think bringing are cars out there would definitely attract some attention to enduro racing. I'm in Oceanside, bald hill is to far for me! How far are you guys from Bellmore?:wave:

I investigated Bellmore a while back, I live in Merrick. The police in this area a usually very strict and they don't like any not street legal vehicles at the shows, I told Steve during the last 4 cyl. One of my Mom's friends brought their drag car to the Bellmore show and they threatened to impound it if they didn't take it away. Too, bad because it's a nice opportunity. I heard the Oceanside/ Massapequa show might be more open though.
