Participants in organized youth baseball leagues will be in the spotlight at Wall Stadium this Saturday night (June 4) as the third mile high banked paved oval speedway will honor Little Leaguers and any youngster who participates in organized youth baseball. On “Youth Baseball Night” the stock car speedway will offer free admission to any youngster who arrives in a baseball jersey that he of she wears in league play. Grandstand seating will open at 4:00 p.m. and the first race will start at 6:30 p.m.

“Kids really love the racecars and we love having the kids at the speedway,” track operator Cliff Krause said. “This is a great way to get families out to the track for a night of entertainment.”

Defending Modified champion Chas Okerson of Freehold, Anthony Sesely of Matawan, Shaun Carrig of Little Falls and Ron Frees of Browns Mills, all winners this season, will lead the powerful Modified stock cars in a 40 lap main event, while recent winner Joe Mongeau of Brick will pace the Blewett Recycling Sportsman division in a 25-lap main event.

United Crane Factory Stock four-time winner Shannon Mongeau of Bradley Beach is expected to return for his division’s 25-lapper and INEX Legend Cars standout Robert French of Howell will be looking for glory in his class’ 25-lap main event. The Street Stocks will have the night off.

Saturday’s schedule will see the competitor pit area open at 12:30 p.m., with a paid testing session for competitors then running from 1:30 until 3:30 p.m.

The regular afternoon practice session will then begin at 4:00 p.m., while spectator seating will also open at 4:00 p.m.

Racing action will then begin at 6:30 p.m. with qualifying events to be followed by feature race action for all four divisions.

Wall Stadium Speedway is located on Route 34 in Wall Township, N.J., just one mile north of Garden State Parkway exit 98 and Interstate 195 exit 35B.
