Berwick, PA (May 31, 2011)- After a hard crash in the Weis 125 last August at Pocono International Raceway, Steve Fox and the Universe Racing crew went to work to rebuild the racecar that Fox pilots in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards. Even with limited fund, the team was determined to have a good showing with the #50 Universe Towing/FireHouse Dodge Charger this June in the ARCA 200 at Pocono. Unfortunately, the plan to compete in the upcoming event flip flopped following a meeting this week with Fox and his car owner, Tony Aquilino.

“The car wasn’t 100% ready and we only have a week left before heading to Pocono”, Fox said Monday evening. “Both myself and Tony feel horrible to withdraw our entry for the Pocono 200 in June, but missing this event will give us more time to better prepare for the Pennsylvania 125 at Pocono this August”, he said.

Fox stressed that he was upset during the meeting and wanted to have a good showing for the team’s fans and supporters and then following the meeting he began to see things in reality.

“The fact is that the car had to be totally rebuilt. We still have a little work to do and haven’t had any testing what so ever, so who knows what the car would have done. In hindsight, after meeting with Tony I realize that this is the best choice for us as a team to focus on the second Pocono race and it will hopefully line us up for a finish to be proud of”.

Along with missing the first Pocono event, Fox is equally upset that he won’t be able to debut the new FireHouse album, “Full Circle” on the car in June. The brand new album is scheduled for release on June 1st.

“All I can say is that we’ll put this aside and focus on the August race. If all goes well then, hopefully we can get another show or two in elsewhere”, said Fox.
