STREET STOCKS AND LEGEND CARS TO RACE TWIN FEATURES AT
WALL STADIUM THIS SATURDAY (JUNE 11)
Stock car drivers in both the INEX Legend Cars and the Street Stock division at Wall Stadium Speedway will be in the spotlight this Saturday night (June 11) as each class will compete in “Twin 25” lap main events. Grandstand seating and pit area gates will open at 4:00 p.m., with the first race of the night taking the green flag at 7:00 p.m.
The twin main events for the Legend Cars have been on the schedule since it was announced during the off-season. The twin races for the Street Stocks were originally set for May 21 but were postponed by rain. In addition to the twin races for the Legend Cars and the Street Stocks, the United Crane Factory Stocks and the Blewett Recycling Sportsman cars will each compete in a 25-lap main event. The beautifully restored racecars of the Garden State Vintage Stock Car Club will also be on display. The Modifieds have the night off.
Drivers to watch in Street Stock action include early season winners Bill Vanderveen of Beachwood, Howie Conk of Jackson and Nick Shaw of Warren. Top Legend Cars drivers to keep an eye on include winners Derek Hopkinson of Toms River, Robert French of Howell and Trevor Alspach of Willingboro.
With no early afternoon paid practice session planned, pit gates and grandstand seating will open at 4:00 p.m. and regular practice will start at 5:00 p.m. The first qualifying event will take the green flag at 7:00 p.m.
