Im running a factory posi,on hard accelleration even in the straights my trans kicks down and tires breakloose.
Unfortunately my trans is controlled by a pcm not a cable/linkage to just disconnect.
Should i pull out my posi for free(almost),or just program the pcm for 2-300$

Had the car in 2 races so far,im runnin 235 70 15 now but theyare baldies now! Was gonna go to a 225 60 or 235 60, think my problem is the kickdown,if i pedal it so it wont downshiftthen the car is to slow, dont wanna go for the tune to disable the kickdown i need the $$ for other things like tires and such!

Try smaller tires first. That will raise the rpm's a little but which might make you stay in the higher gear. By the way what type if car.

Yeah that's what i think too but i got almost 3 1/2weeks ,i know it will make a difference ,just thinking if i pull the posi i can keep the wheels under the car while i control the shifting is all!
I need tires anyway,so thanks all for the input!

You never want to shift. You gotta find a gear tire combo that will let you run one gear.

Unfortunately i can't just disconnect the kickdown.
And the car downshifts on acceleration so i peddle it to upshift,
so tires it is.but i may still pull the springs outta the rear!

the tires will be too big at 225 60 more than 7 " and you should try a combo that will allow you to run 1st or 2nd you cant shift at rr
