Heavy down pours and the forecast for severe weather in the region forced the cancellation of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series action at Thompson International Speedway on Thursday night. Just as practice concluded torrential rain and heavy winds swept into the area. A grim forecast for much of the same prompted the call. The rain check policy will be published on speedway’s official website thompsonspeedway.com. An announcement will also be made regarding the rescheduling of the extra-distance race for the Super Late Models.
