After a disappointing first week, the Frantz Racing Team was hoping for better results the second time out. Changes were made in hopes of improving the handling of the car.

The day started out very similar to the first week. Paul took the Associated Chiropractic/ Haines Exxon #10 out for practice and the car handled about the same as the first time out.
Between practice rounds, Paul was talking with fellow competitor Todd Baer and his crew chief Kevin Hoffman. From their suggestions, Paul made some changes and the car got a little better. A third practice round was available, and in hopes of improving the car more, Paul had Todd Baer drive the car. Todd made some suggestions about what he felt with the car and what changes he would make.

Paul started the Himmer Graphics car fourth in the heat race. On lap two, Paul made slight contact with Nick Pecko sending him out of the groove. Paul kept control of the car, but he dropped to sixth place and a few car lengths behind the field where he would finish. "The car was definitely better, but we still need to get in the corners better": stated Frantz.

Frantz was to start the 40 Lap feature in the tenth position, but instead he chose to go to the rear. Paul took the green flag in thirteenth position. The S & D Bodyline car was much better right from the start. Paul was able to keep up with the field and pass cars. He avoided some accidents along the way, and when the checkered flag fell he finished with a solid sixth place.

"The car was very good in the feature. It got a little tight in the center as the race went on. I really have to thank Todd and Kevin. They helped me out a ton tonight"; Paul stated.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Factory Stock driver Rich Paciotti. Rich hit the first turn wall extremely hard with the driver's side. He was cut from the car, and taken to the hospital. Reports said he was alert and is expected to be okay.

Next up for the Frantz Racing Team is June 25 at Mountain Speedway. Racing starts at 6:00pm. Sport Mods, Late Models and Factory Stocks are on the schedule. For more information go to www.frantzracing10.com.
