The inaugural event for the much anticipated N.E. Modified Series is scheduled for Sunday, August 28th at Mountain Speedway in St. Johns, Pennsylvania. Blending Sport Modifieds from several race tracks in the northeast has become a hot topic as of late, and with the economy tightening the belts of weekly Tour Type Modified teams, the timing could not be better for an affordable Modified series.
The August 28th event will be a 75 lap feature, with $1500 going to the winner(with 20 cars signed in pits). Also on the racing card will be the Brad Kline Memorial Open Street Stock 50 lap event, and the INEX Legends cars.
Pits will open at 10:30 am, with Practice scheduled for 12:30 pm, and Racing to begin at 2 pm.
Pit passes for the afternoon will be $30, and no pit license is required.
NOTE: TIRE RULE
It was originally announced that American Racer was the Official tire of the N.E. Modified Series, however, this event will be run on the following Hoosier tire...RIGHT SIDE = Hoosier 1070, LEFT SIDE = Hoosier 1055 or 1070
Tires will be available at the track.
