Alot depends on how many cars show up and how many more donations I still get, but looking like $6000 to win and 300 to every driver who shows up. Anyone who wants to give a donation, please let either Teddy Baxter, Jaws or me know. $300 gets you a sticker with your name on it on the modified of your choice. But Any donation is appreciated.

Could the rumor of Ryan Preece showing up in the Bill Park 20 this week and tour week be true? If so, even more excitement at Riverhead!!!

Registration will open at 9:00 AM. The NASCAR WMT Haulers will enter the pit area at 9:30 am this week and their practice will run from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm straight through. The Riverhead Raceway Blunderbusts and Chargers will then have some practice time at the conclusion of the WMT practice. Next up will be the time trials for the WMT at 4:45 pm which are followed by the time trials for the two Riverhead classes. The 25-lap NASCAR WMT qualifying race is then set to go green at 6:30 PM and will be followed by the Blunderbust and Charger feature events and then the Lighthouse Mission 200 by Baldwin Automotive. As for what time the Blunderbust and Charger teams should arrive at the track I'm guessing anywhere around 1:00 PM would be fine as you won't practice until 3:30, but we would like to have you parked before the WMT practice at 2:00 PM, thank you.

Jim Schaefer's efforts have really taken off as last we saw the race would pay at least $7,100 to win, while the 25-lap qualifying race is worth $250. Christine Healy has sold all 175 laps of the WMT feature and I even saw where the Blunderbust winner is earning an extra $100. I'm sure the figures will keep changing as the week goes on but to Jim Schaefer and Christine Healy and all of you who have posted bonus money, thank you!

Doing the math again, including the 22,727 from the purse, nascars 8100, lighthouse missions 500 and our 18,078 - the cash payout for the 50th Whelen Tour Race is a neat $49,405 - or just $595 away from $50,000 !
