The season so far for Mountain Speedway has been an exciting one and the excitement will continue this Saturday (July 30) with another weekend of “Summer Racefest”, featuring a $2,000 to win 75-cone race for the Modified division.

The Modified drivers will take to the track and compete using the cone race style format, which is well known at Bowman Gray Stadium down south. With a $9,000 overall purse, the Modified drivers will compete for the lucrative $2,000 top prize and the event will pay $210 green flag money.

The fun doesn’t stop there, as speedway Promoter, Joe Callavini, ha arranged for a “bouncy house” to be brought to the track to entertain the children at the track through out the day.

The 50/50 drawing will also be one to remember this weekend, as 25 winners will be pulled. Those winners will be given an entry form ($10 value) to win a custom Death Row Motorcycle and part of the proceeds for the Children’s Miracle Network. The drawing will be in August 31st at the Quaker Steak and Lube in Buckhorn.

Adult grandstand admission is just $15 and as always, kids 10 years of age and younger are free. All of the action, including the Modifieds, FWDs and Street Stocks will begin at 6 PM.

Mountain Speedway is just minutes from Hazleton, Pa, located on St. John’s Road, between Routes 93 and 309.
