STREET STOCKS TWIN 25’S SATURDAY (AUG 6) AT WALL STADIUM
The popular open wheel Modified stock cars will return to action at Wall Stadium this Saturday night (Aug 6) after a week off joining Sportsman, Street Stock and Factory Stock racers in competition.
Grandstand seating will open at 5:00 p.m. and racing will start at 7:00 p.m.
Defending driving champion Chas Okerson of Freehold, the most recent Modified winner here, will lead the field to action, but is expected to see stiff competition from current point leader Anthony Sesely of Matawan, Chris Hamilton of North Haledon, Tim Arre of Toms River and Farmingdale’s Billy Cole, just to name a few. The Modifieds will battle in a 40-lap main event.
Also on the card will be the Blewett Recycling Sportsman cars and the United Crane Factory Stock racers battling in 25-lap main events. The Street Stocks will step up in the spotlight as they compete in Twin 25 lap main events.
Pit gates will open at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday; with regular practice set for 5:00 p.m. Grandstand seating will open at 5:00 p.m. and the first qualifying event will take the green flag at 7:00 p.m. Fans are reminded that if they arrive at the ticket window wearing a wristband from a day at the beach, they will earn a discounted ticket price.
Wall Stadium presents professional motorsports events on most Saturdays and Sundays during the summer months. The speedway is located on Route 34 in Wall Township, N.J., just one mile north of Garden State Parkway exit 98 and Interstate 195 exit 35B.
