“FIRST RESPONDERS NIGHT” WILL HONOR COMMUNITY HEROES
SATURDAY (AUG 13) AT WALL STADIUM

The real heroes of our society, police, fire and rescue squad members, will be honored at Wall Stadium Speedway this Saturday night (Aug. 13) by being admitted free of charge to the grandstands when presenting proper identification. Grandstand seating will open at 5:00 p.m. and racing will start at 7:00 p.m.

“Many people look up to movie stars, athletes and music stars, when the real heroes are these special who work right here in our community,” promoter Cliff Krause said. “And many of these heroes volunteer their time and efforts and get little or no pay. This “First Responder Night” is the least we can do for them.”

Along with the professional auto racing events that the speedway presents every Saturday night, this August 13 card will also feature appearances by WRAT Radio 95.9 FM, the “Big Brothers and Big Sisters” program and the “Ghostbusters,” a local non-profit organization. In honor of the evening, some “hot and spicy” items will be offered in the food stands.

Defending driving champion Chas Okerson of Freehold and current point leader Anthony Sesely of Matawan will lead the Modified stock car field to action in a 40-lap main event. Also on the card will be the Street Stock cars and the Sanzari/Shinn Factory Stock racers battling in 25-lap main events. The INEX Legend Cars will step up in the spotlight as they compete in Twin 25 lap main events. The Sportsman cars have the night off.

Pit gates will open at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday; with a paid practice running from 2:30 until 4:30 p.m. Regular practice then starts at 5:00 p.m. Grandstand seating will also open at 5:00 p.m. and the first qualifying event will take the green flag at 7:00 p.m.

Wall Stadium presents professional motorsports events on most Saturdays and Sundays during the summer months. The speedway is located on Route 34 in Wall Township, N.J., just one mile north of Garden State Parkway exit 98 and Interstate 195 exit 35B. The speedway hotline number is 732-681-6400, while CKMotorsports@aol.com is the track’s email address. More information is also available at www.wallspeedway.com (http://www.wallspeedway.com).
