Neal and Keaton grab wins before the storm
A dense rain cloud over Bowman Gray Stadium led to the cancellation of the racing action on Saturday.
The historic quarter mile track will have their final event of the season this Saturday.
Before the rain fell, Tommy Neal of Walkertown claimed the checkered for the Webb Heating & A/C Co. Sportsman Series. Neal nudged Mitch
Gales of Thomasville out of the way to take over the lead. Luke Fleming of Mount Airy and Taylor Branch of Lewisville finished second and third.
In the Freeman’s Auto Center Stadium Stock Series, Jason Keaton of Mocksville brought home the win, with Chris Lawing of King coming in
second.
Rain checks from August 13 will be honored this Saturday, August 20 – it will be the Carolina Farm Credit 150 Season Finale. Double the
normal points will be awarded, and all the championships will be decided.
