Two of short track stock car racing’s most popular divisions, the Modifieds and the Legend Cars, will share top billing at Wall Stadium Speedway Saturday night (August 27) as each will compete in a 40-lap main event as a part of “Teen Night” festivities. Grandstand seating opens at 5:00 p.m. and racing starts at 7:00 p.m.

Wall Stadium’s Modified division features a long list of talented drivers including current point leader Anthony Sesely of Matawan, defending champion Chas Okerson of Freehold and recent winners Tim Arre of Toms River, Chris Hamilton of North Haledon and Roger Coss of Lafayette. After a week off, the Modifieds are returning for a 40-lap main event.

The INEX Legend Cars also feature some of the most talented drivers in the country. Brothers Trevor and Zach Alspach, both of Willingboro, will be drivers to watch, as will 2011 winners Derek Hopkinson of Toms River, Robert French of Howell and Mike Alcaro. The Legend Cars 40-lapper is 15 laps longer than their regular main event distance.

In addition, the Blewett Recycling Sportsman and the Sanzari/Shinn Factory Stocks are slated for 25-lap main events. The Street Stocks will have the night off.

Saturday’s “Teen Night” festivities will feature a $2.00 admission discount for teens and a special live performance by the local band “Micromachines.” Fans are also reminded to be working on banners for their favorite drivers as “Banner Night” festivities are set for Saturday night, September 3.

Pit gates will open at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday; with regular practice starting at 5:00 p.m. Grandstand seating will also open at 5:00 p.m. and the first qualifying event will take the green flag at 7:00 p.m.
