Not an auspicious way to start the week - according to the coverage on Dirt Track Digest the Bartemy's were late to get to the track due to an unknown issue (at this point). I don't think TC turned a lap on the mile before qualifying, and it showed. He is over 3 seconds off the pace, in 56th of 58.

I am hopeful he will get some more seat time before the qualifying races tomorrow. I look forward to seeing him run under the lights.

PS - Jimmy Blewett timed in with a very respectable 12th in the 358 mods. Hossfeld was 43rd of 49.

Other than Jimmy winning the Futures race for the 358 modifieds it was an awful day for the asphalt converts in qualifying.

Chuck Hossfeld wrecked on lap 1
Jimmy Blewett wrecked on lap 2 (after getting backed up due to accident on first lap)
Ted Christopher wrecked on lap 2

All are going to have to come through the consolation races to make the mains...

No sir - Jimmy did not come out for his last chance qualifier, nor did Hossfeld.

TC ran it and finished either 1 or 2 spots short of qualifying. There was a lot of banter though that even if he had qualified he was going to give up the seat for Toby Tobias.
