FOR RULES VIOLATIONS AT LIME ROCK PARK

NASCAR announced today the crew chief of the No. 36 team that competes in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour has been penalized as a result of rules violations committed Saturday, Sept. 17, at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Conn.

The car was found to be in violation of Sections 12-1 (Actions detrimental to stock car racing), Section 20D-2.3 (Improperly attached weight) of the 2011 NASCAR rule book. The violations occurred during practice on Sept. 17.

Crew chief of car No. 36, Darren Bergenty, has been fined $500 and suspended from NASCAR until the fine is paid.

So the 36 team now has to cheat/bend the rules/swim in the gray area/misinterpret the rules, whatever you call it, to even finish 5th?????

They attached the weight improper.

They didn't have an illeagal intake gasket.

The piece of lead fell off during the morning practice not during the race.

Rookies.....lol. weights for lawnmower racing are supposed to be welded on....Geez everyone knows that!
