FOR RULES VIOLATIONS AT LIME ROCK PARK
NASCAR announced today the crew chief of the No. 36 team that competes in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour has been penalized as a result of rules violations committed Saturday, Sept. 17, at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Conn.
The car was found to be in violation of Sections 12-1 (Actions detrimental to stock car racing), Section 20D-2.3 (Improperly attached weight) of the 2011 NASCAR rule book. The violations occurred during practice on Sept. 17.
Crew chief of car No. 36, Darren Bergenty, has been fined $500 and suspended from NASCAR until the fine is paid.
