After taking a month off after the regular season finale, Wall Stadium Speedway will present the first of three post season specials on Saturday, October 22. The “Halloween Spooky Spectacular” will feature all five of the speedway’s regular divisions plus two touring classes. Current plans call for grandstand seating to open at noon, pit area gates to open at 1:30 p.m. and racing to start at 4:15 p.m.
Leading the action will be the Wall Modified stock cars competing in a 75 lap main event, while the Blewett Recycling Sportsman cars will race in a 50 lapper. The Sanzari/Shinn Factory Stocks, the Street Stocks and the INEX Legend Cars will each race in 30-lap main events. The visiting TQ Midgets are set for a 25-lap main event, while the Micro Stocks are set to compete on the “inner oval.”
The day will serve as a benefit for causes related to the New Jersey State Troopers and their families. Race team registration forms, which offer discounts to preregistered competitors, are available on the speedway website at www.wallspeedway.com.
Spectator seating will open at noon on October 22, with the pit area opening at 1:30 p.m. and practice running from 2:30 until 4:00 p.m. The first qualifying event will start at 4:15 p.m.
The track will then present a NEETS Enduro on October 30 before closing out the year with the two-day Turkey Derby on Thanksgiving weekend.
Wall Stadium also presents professional motorsports events on most Saturdays and Sundays during the summer months. The speedway is located on Route 34 in Wall Township, N.J., just one mile north of Garden State Parkway exit 98 and Interstate 195 exit 35B.
