HALLOWEEN SPECTACULAR STOCK CAR RACE AT WALL STADIUM THIS SATURDAY (OCT. 22)
Wall Stadium stock car drivers from five classes plus drivers from two touring divisions will compete in the first annual “Halloween Spooky Spectacular” this Saturday (Oct. 22) on the third mile paved oval with racing starting at the special time of 4:00 p.m. Current plans call for grandstand seating to open at noon as the track also hosts a fundraiser with New Jersey State Police that will help to pay medical bills for Mackenzie Wozniak. Early entertainment will be provided by radio station Thunder 106.5 FM. Pit area gates will open at 1:30 p.m. and practice starts at 2:30 p.m.
Leading the action will be the Wall Modified stock cars competing in a 75 lap main event that offers $2,000 to the winner. The Blewett Recycling Sportsman cars will race in a 50 lapper that pays $500 to the top spot, while the Sanzari/Shinn Factory Stock 30-lap winner will also earn $500 thanks to sponsorship from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. The Street Stock 30-lap winner will pocket $350 and the INEX Legend Car 30-lap victor will take home $250. The visiting TQ Midgets are set for a 25-lap main event, while the Micro Stocks are set to compete for 25-laps on the “inner oval.”
The entire day will follow the Halloween theme with lots of activities and fun for the entire family. A costume contest, a pumpkin decorating contest and crafts activities for children will offer fun and lots of prizes.
Spectator seating will open at noon on Saturday (Oct. 22), with the pit area opening at 1:30 p.m. and practice running from 2:30 until 4:00 p.m. The first qualifying event will start at 4:00 p.m. In the event of rain, a Saturday, October 29 rain date will be in effect.
The track will then present the “FrankenDuro” NEETS Enduro on Sunday, October 30, with pit area gates opening at 10:00 a.m., grandstands opening at noon and the small car and big car 100-lap Enduros starting at 1:00 p.m.
