The Stafford Speedway 2012 schedule has been
released and it has seen a major overhaul. Stafford Speedway will not only
roar to life every Friday from May to September but also on Saturday June
30. Stafford Speedway will host the annual CARQUEST Extreme program on a
Saturday Night. The historically mid-week program headlined by the ISMA
Super Modifieds will now be held on Saturday June 30 and will be titled
CARQUEST Super Saturday.

“This is a great way for us to put a new twist into the show,” said Rich
Pallai, Vice President of Marketing at CARQUEST Auto Parts. “With the show
on a Tuesday it was hard for people to get out of work and make it to the
track, we’re hoping that moving this show to Saturday will make it easier
for the fans and our CARQUEST customers to come out to the track and enjoy a
great night of racing.”

CARQUEST Super Saturday will also play host to NEMA Midgets, Pro-4
Modifieds, and the Second Annual CARQUEST Champions For Charities go-kart
race.

With support from CARQUEST the ISMA Super Modifieds returned to Stafford in
2004 after a nearly 25 year hiatus. Chris Perley has since dominated ISMA’s
yearly outing at Stafford winning five of the eight CARQUEST Extreme events.

Perley’s reign of the half-mile was almost denied in 2011 when Stafford’s
own Ted Christopher dominated the majority of the race but Perley prevailed
in a late lapped traffic duel. The excitement is guaranteed to continue in
2012 when Christopher hopes to dethrone the defending Stafford victor.

The CARQUEST Champions for Charities race will also return in 2012 and will
be included in the CARQUEST Super Saturday program. Past open wheel
champions selected a charity, were randomly paired with Senior Outlaw
go-kart teams from the CERIC Kart Racing Series, and worked to collect
donations in the months leading up to the event. The highest fundraiser was
awarded the pole position.

“Everyone had a great time with the CARQUEST Champions for Charities event,”
said Wade Gagner the President of the CERIC Kart Racing Series. “The race
was a great opportunity for our teams to let professional drivers get behind
the wheel of their karts, we look forward to being part of this race in the
future.”

The Charity race was won by 2010 SK Modified® and NASCAR Whelen All-American
Series National Champion Keith Rocco. The race rose in excess of $44,000
for an assortment of charities. For a list of 2011 drivers and charities

The NEMA Midgets and Pro-4 Modifieds will also be on hand for the exciting
Saturday night. They will run 30 and 25 laps respectively. Stay tuned to
