I have to ask about all this $10,000 car talk. A question for Rob Bader, who I like very much. In comparison: Rob how much did you spend on your car from Wayne Okula??? When you originally had that car you blew the motor, then you bought Tom Stocks car for how much??? I think it put you close to a $10,000 Blunderbust as well, No??
I'm not taking a shot at Rob at all, I'm just trying to say if you want to win in this division you have to spend $$$ too. Rob did it and he's competitive every week. SO WHAT Tommy wants 10k for his Blunderbust car. It's his car he can sell it for whatever he wants. I don't know why everyone gives him so much s*it about that?? If Rob Bader, Tom Pickerell or Bill Wegmann could have 50+ wins for 10,000, I think they'd do it in a second. Just my opinion. Bader it's sad to see you're only going to run TT shows, I think you two could've had a great Championship battle.

Valid point Steve. I paid 8k for my car and i made my money back on the stock purchase. Tommy is entitled to his asking price, just like each person that sells their car. Its beating a dead horse now. Im over all the tommy beef. At the end of the day hes the top guy. And to be the best you gotta beat the best. So untill someonecan do that gotta respect that.

How much would it cost to build one of those cars and include all the things you would need to build a car to compete at the same level?I bet $10,000 is cheap when all things are considered.I have many resources and found it difficult to buitd a Grand enduro car for $7000.

i think ten g's is a steal. you know how much time and money is in that car. hey people who have done it know it take a lot to be a front running car.

you know if any body out there has 10 g's wants to own a car this guy would be awesome(Pizzo) a blunderbust is a great div to put pizzo in he runs so good in the 8cyl enduro's and a blunderbust is a couple of steps up but still very similar in set up.

Heck, he's probably losing $20k+ if he sells that thing for $10k. Which is precisely why he won't. No one scoffs at the idea the car is worth $10k. I just mock the fact that it is.

i could put a new car together for under 10- complete ready to win, and win often

J-rod, that's the best, most realistic post this topic has seen. I remember watching you win a BB feature in that As^-ugly, sheet metal twisted car of yours hands down, blowning away all the pretty cars. Personally, I think it's more gratifiying to win with the ugly duckling, doing your homework, and having some driving skill then buying top dollar car and just driving it, and like Bader said, this 10 grand topic is getting old!!

Also dont matter if you buy the nicest car, still gotta have skills to win in such a highly competitive division.
