Someday I hope they go back to the open comp format the 300 originally started as. I think the time is almost here when it would work again.

I'm guessing that means a reduced purse for each of the 75 laps? I'll also asssume that admission prices will be reduced since they are charging for 100 less tour laps. Regardless, if cautions count I don't think I like this event. To big a chance that I could end up only seeing 25-30 green flag laps. If the 75 lap events were green flag only it would be more appealing to me.

Anybody know why the north and south races were shortened up so much?

That's a pretty good reduction in laps.

It could do with pit stops... No pitting again so shorten the race

remember when racing was racing and not gimmicks. If they just made it a 250 lap combo race like at Bristol they wouldn't have to worry about filling the southern field and everyone would get a real race.
