PIR had one whole empty section. Not sure it was the weather. Bad economy and gas prices combined with what it costs to attend one of these events is the real culprit!

Just remember this before you wish Bruton Smith was in charge of all racing. Who else would purposely change a multi groove track back to single lane track just so there are more wrecks?

NHIS/NHMS was changed for the Cup cars. The modified racing has not been the same since. I'm afraid a change at Bristol would do the same.

Yeah they changed NHIS for the Cup cars and that race still blows. IMO the worst Cup race to watch all year, then again there aren't many good ones.

After looking at other sites and hearing from people who actually went to Bristol and stopped going, their biggest problem seems to be cost. Bristol's range of ticket prices are out of whack with the other SMI owned tracks. They charge about the same for the most expensive seats. However, the lowest price for Bristol is $75, but the other tracks you can get some seats for $40 or less.(a couple of the tracks even have seats in the $25 range) Plus there are not a lot of hotels\motels in the area, and the ones that are there charge an arm and a leg.
