Spencer Speedway has released an exciting schedule for racing in the 2012 season. Many special events dot the calendar for the NASCAR sanctioned track. The Race of Champions Modified tour event, a drag racing exhibition, a National Qualifying event for the Legends cars, special extra distance events for the SUNOCO Modifieds, exciting Auto Value Scorpion action, an open championship event for the Super Stocks are featured on the schedule. Racing will run every Friday from May 18th through September 7th Championship night. Two dates, July 20th and August 10th will be vacation nights for the speedway.
May 11th is test and tune day. Free grandstand admission will greet fans that want to get a preview of the action at Spencer. Gates will open at 3:00 p.m., and practice will start at 5:30 p.m.
Friday, May 18th, the gates to Spencer Speedway will welcome fans to opening night competition for all four NASCAR divisions. Sunoco Modifieds, Super Stocks, Super 6’s, and the Auto Value 4-cylinders will be joined by INEX Legends and the first appearance of the Empire Truck Series.
On June 8th, the Race of Champions Modified Tour headlines the Spencer Speedway program. An INEX Legends National Qualifier has been added to this show. The Super Stocks will be out in full force for their series open competition event. The Super Six division and the Auto Value 4-Cylinder classes will also be in competition.
June 15th will find the first of two “pack the track” nights. The $6 half price admission will draw the fans to the Insinger Racing Fuels sponsored events. On tap is a special NHRA drag racing exhibition by local drag competitors. Oval track action will include a double points Sunoco Modified feature, Super Stocks, Super 6’s, and the Auto Value Scorpion 4-cylinder events.
July 20th and August 10th are “nights off” for the speedway. August 10th is the Race of Champions Modified Tour event at our sister track, Chemung Speedrome. An INEX Legends National Qualifier, Super Stocks, and 4-cylinder racing has been added to the championship event.
