Thompson Speedway management has once again teamed with many different companies to offer cash bonuses for competitors in each of the track’s NASCAR Whelen All-American Series divisions. This program, which was a big hit with Thompson race teams last year, has been renewed and improved by the Thompson Marketing Team and will begin with the season-opening Icebreaker the weekend of April 14th and 15th .

More than $13,000.00 in bonus money will be distributed this season to Thompson competitors in various ways depending on the wishes of the individual sponsoring companies. “In the first year of this program, we were able to provide over $10,000.00 in bonus money to our competitors. This year, thanks to the enthusiastic support of so many different companies, we were able to increase that amount in this very popular program,” said Marketing Director, Jonathan Hoenig. The bonus money contingency program will be paid over and above the track’s posted purse structure.

Some of the contingency sponsors that will participate again this year are Monster Energy Drink, Xtra/Mart, Obastid Apparel, Town Fair Tire, Interstate Batteries, Cady’s Tavern, LKQ-Keystone, Patriot Disposal and more. The Thompson Marketing Team fully expects to add to this list before the April 14th & 15th Icebreaker and throughout the year.

Depending on the individual NASCAR Whelen All-American race division, bonus money will be paid directly to feature event winners or to a finishing position based on a random drawing. “It is exciting to be able to offer this extra support to the teams that race with us every week. Their hard work and dedication to Thompson is something we respect and appreciate. These bonus money programs can be a big help to racers. We are very grateful to the companies involved that provide this extra support to our race teams and our programs,” Hoenig concluded.

Thompson’s season-opening Icebreaker will be run the weekend of April 14th and 15th. The entire weekend schedule is listed on the Thompson web page: www.thompsonspeedway.com. Tickets for this two-day racing spectacular are available by calling the Thompson Speedway track office. 860-923-2280.
