TED. The economy is killing everything. Im a fishing guide and my business has dropped by 70% over the last 2 yrs. Gas prices arent helping. Our gov doesnt seem to have a clue! Good thing my guiding is just a hobby.

So every NWMT thread ends up with a discussion about SFI now? I find it hard to believe keeping up with SFI certs is what has car numbers down. The more likely culperit would be fuel costs towing to and from events. We sometimes get too caught up in car counts anyways. More cars doesn't necessarily make a better show. I would rather watch a race with 25 good cars than a race with a 40 car field full of field fillers and back markers that bring out unnecessary yellows.

As far as the actual RACE goes; TC owns Thompson and would be my odds on favorite, but I have a feeling that this will be a wreckfest like last years World Series was and I wouldn't be suprised if someone unexpected ended up in victory lane.
