Mountain Speedway won the fight against Mother Nature on Saturday, but lost the war, as Sunday’s events at the famed 1/3-mile facility have been cancelled due to the dismal weather forecast.
The nest event for the Modifieds, Street Stocks and Four Cylinders will be the originally scheduled events on Sunday, May 6. With the exception of the INEX Legends and Bandoleros who are also on the card that day, all other divisions have been locked in by time from pole day qualifying on April 21. Any cars that did not take time on that date will draw for starting positions for the main event and if needed, consolidation races will be held.
Mountain Speedway is just minutes from Hazleton, Pa, located on St. John’s Road, between Routes 93 and 309. Grandstand admission for all regular events is just $12 for ages 11 and older. Children 10 years of age and younger are admitted for free.
