We were also told that no one was to be standing at the pit gate coming off of the track or along the catch fence.
Has anyone watched the latest GSP video highlights when a car flipped going into turn one?

I see people lined up along the catch fence running for cover.
I guess that the rules do not apply when it comes to modified racing.

Rules do apply on Saturday nights. They definitely work their best on keeping people away from that area. The problem is...PEOPLE DON'T LISTEN! Same rules apply on Saturday nights and Sundays.

And from that view that wouldnt be coming off the track, that would be after pitting and returning to the track.

Speeds in the pits apply going to your pit area and going back onto the track....this will be addressed at the driver's meeting this weekend. Bottom line though, it happened last event and it has been about a month since then....I'm not going to penalize that driver now, please don't expect me to correct someone a month later.

Rules are rules....it is a lot easier to control and catch people breaking rules when there is not 1,000 people pit-side like on a Saturday night....when there is about 200 people in the pits and during the race there is only a small handful not in the stands....one to five people standing by the fence is easy to catch. The rules are the rules....break them and Frankie will be after you!!!! LOL!
