Heading into Sunday there have been three different winners in the same number of Sport Modified features at Mountain Speedway, but that all changed when Dave Brigati of Calverton, NY took the race lead from Tommy Wanick III and drover off to take his second win of the season. Austin Kochenash of Danielstown, PA continued in his winning ways and scored his third Late Model win of the season and Mark Martini of Effort, PA took his second Factory Stock victory of the year. Still undefeated in both heat and feature wins at the track, Matt Pappa continued his domination in INEX Legends action and Alex McCollum notched his fourth Bandolero win of the season.

Jim Bojohnny started from the pole in the 40-lap Sport Modified main event, but Tommy Wanick III took advantage of his front row starting spot and took the race lead before a lap click off. Bojohnny ran in second, followed by Dave Brigati, Jason Hearne and Nick Pecko.

Brigati moved by Bojohnny and into the second spot on lap two and then hounded the race leader. Meanwhile, Peck and Hearne battled with Bojohnny for position.

Brigati tried several moves underneath Wanick for the lead and Wanick slammed the door each and every time. Brigati attempted a pass on the outside and just before he took the spot, the yellow flag waved for debris on the front stretch on lap 14. Pecko ran third for the restart, followed by Hearne and Bojohnny.

Green flag racing resumed and Brigati lurched out to the race lead. Hearne challenged Pecko for third and Paul Frantz joined the mix in the top five.

Hearne moved by Pecko and into the third position on lap 16 before putting pressure on Wanick for second. The pair raced hard in the closing laps but neither of the two appeared to have anything for Brigati, as he took the checkers over Wanick, Hearne, Pecko and Frantz.

Heat race victories went to Dave Brigati and Jim Bojohnny.

Stone Phillips started form the pole position and led the opening circuit of the 30-lap Late Model feature over Kyle Harvell, Austin Kochenash, Larry Fisher and Lorin Arthofer, but Phillips lead ended early when he slowed in turn two and was spun from contention.

Green flag racing resumed with Kochenash as the leader over Harvell. Fisher climbed to second following a lap four restart and Harvell dropped to third.

The final yellow flag of the event flew when Arthofer and Rick Smith raced hard before Smith spun in turns one and two.

With the green flag back out for the remaining 25 laps, Kochenash distanced himself from the field to win his third feature in four starts. Fisher was forced to settle for second, followed by Harvell, Smith and Phillips.

Heat race victories went to Austin Kochenash and Stone Phillips.

Todd Gadoury led the Factory Stock field to the drop of the green in the 20-lap feature, but Keith Frankenfield led the first circuit over Gadoury, Mark Martini, Dan Pawlicki and Paul Morgan, Jr.

The yellow flag waved on the second lap when Morgan and Pawlicki tangled in turn four. Both drivers were forced to the rear of the field for the restart.

With the green back out, Martini moved into second and set his sights on Frankenfield for the lead. The pair race side by side for a number of laps before Martini took the race lead on lap 10.

Meanwhile, Kenny Kleppinger climbed to the third spot and was pressured by Rich Paciotti and Trevor Ahouse for position.

Unchallenged to the finish, Martini crossed the stripe first to score his second feature win of the season over Frankenfield, Morgan, Paciotti and Gadoury.

Heat race wins went to Mark Martini and Keith Frankenfield.

Dylan led the INEX Legends cars to the drop of the green flag in the 20-lap main, but Brandon Michael led the first circuit over Van Michael, Raven Schrantz and Kevin Nowak.

Following a lap two caution, Schrantz climbed to second and Nowak followed to third. Nowak then overtook second from Schrantz on the following lap.

Meanwhile, Matt Pappa, who started in tenth, slid into he top five. Amazingly and to date, Papa has never lost a heat or feature race at the speedway- ever!

Nowak reeled in the leader and took the top spot on lap five and Pappa followed through and into second. Nowak could only hold off Pappa for so long and then Pappa moved into the lead on lap eight before driving off from the rest of the field.

Pappa took the checkers for yet another victory at the speedway and Nowak had to settle for second. B. Michael finished third, followed by Brendon Bock and Todd McCollum.

Heat race victories went to Brandon Michael and Matt Pappa.

Nick Harnage started on the pole in the 15-lap Bandolero feature but slipped to second when Alex McCollum on the first lap overtook him. McCollum held on to take his fourth victory of the season over Harnage, David French, Nick Morich and Christian Eckes.
