In an exciting dash to the finish in the Tour Type Modified feature event Saturday night at Mountain Speedway, Dave Brigati of Calverton, NY held off several pass attempts from Nick Pecko to score his first $1500 win at the speedway in the division. In a side-by-side Street Stock finish, Chip Wanamaker of Walnutport, PA bested Brian Wozniak to the stripe for his third feature win of the season and Scott Adams of Lake Ariel, PA scored his first career Four Cylinder victory in his first start of the season. Dusty Summers grabbed his first INEX Legends win of the season and Nick Harnage was the INEX Bandolero victor.

Harry Buchman led the Modified field to the drop of the green flag in the 40-lap main event and led the opening circuit over Brandon Oltra, Brian Sones, Austin Kochenash and Ken Vogel, Jr. Kochenash grabbed the third spot from Sones before the caution waved when the leader spun on the backstretch with three laps complete. Several other drivers were collected, including Dave Brigati, Nick Pecko and Todd Baer. Oltra moved to the top spot for the restart.

With the green flag back in the air, Kochenash overtook Oltra for the lead and Barry Callavini followed through to take second. Callavini was forced to give up his position during a lap six yellow for fluid on the speedway and when green flag racing resumed, Kochenash continued out front over Sones, Oltra, Wayne Szerencsits and Brigati.

As Kochenash began to pull away from the field, Brigati began to advance and took third from Oltra on lap seven and then overtook Sones for second on lap 11. Pecko rejoined the mix and battled with Sones for third before solely taking the spot on lap 15.

Pecko chased down Brigati for the runner up spot and Kochenash began to approach lapped traffic. The caution waved on lap 28 for a spin in turn four and Kochenash held the point over Brigati for the restart. With the green flag back out, Brigati took command off turn two, as a melee took place behind him. Those involved were Kochenash, Callavini, Pecko, Randall Richard, Sones, Buchman and Alan Creveling. Several drivers headed back to the pit area and then returned to the action.

When the green waved once again, Brigati held the point over Oltra, Baer, Richard and Creveling. Pecko quickly climbed to second following the restart and did everything that he could in the closing laps to overtake the leader. However, Brigati held on to take his first Mountain Speedway Modified victory over Pecko and Baer. Oltra finished a career-best fourth, followed by Kochenash, who rebounded after heading to the pit area on the dreaded double hook earlier in the event.

Heat race wins went to Harry Buchman and Austin Kochenash.

Tony Hilliard started from the pole position for the 25-lap Street Stock feature and Alan Schlenker led the opening lap following the drop of the green flag. Brian Wozniak ran in third, with Chip Wanamaker and Kevin Higgins in tow.

Wozniak and Wanamaker battled for third before Wanamaker took the spot on the second lap. However, Wozniak battled back and regained the spot as they both paced behind Hilliard.

Wozniak overtook Hilliard for second on lap five and Wanamaker followed. With ten laps complete, Schlenker continued to lead over Wanamaker, Wozniak, Higgins and Steve Shultz.

Wanamaker caught and passed Schlenker for the lead on lap 13 and Wozniak moved into second three laps later. Despite running side-by-side with the leader for most of the remaining laps of the caution-free event, Wozniak came up a few feet short at the finish, as Wanamaker went on to take his third win of the season. Schlenker finished a season best third, followed by Shultz and Higgins.

Heat race victories went to Chip Wanamaker and Steve Shultz.

John Smith started from the pole position in the 20-lap Four Cylinder feature but things got heated up before a lap was scored. As drivers battled hard to lead the first lap, Jay Skupski was spun and collected Bill Price, Jr., who nearly rolled in turn four. Smith was also involved, as was Frank Hughes.

Green flag racing resumed and Scott Adams was in command for the restart. With eight laps complete he continued to lead over Price, Hughes, Skupski and Noah Fassman.

Hughes battled with Skupski and moved into the third spot on lap 14 and then mounted a challenge on Price for second with three laps remaining.

With a sizable lead by the end of the show, Adams went to victory lane in his first Four Cylinder start this season. As cars wrecked out of turn four at the finish, Price finished as the runner up, followed by Skupski, Fassman and Cody Roth.

Scott Adams and Frank Hughes scored heat race wins.

Steve Gual led the INEX Legends to the drop of the green flag in the 20-lap feature but Dusty Summers led the first circuit, followed by Scott Hubler and Sam Pickford.

A pair of lap 18 yellows slowed the event and Summers went on to take his first win at the speedway over Hubler and Pickford.

Heat race victories went to Scott Hubler and Dusty Summers.

After nearly picking up the win last weekend, Nick Harnage went to victory lane in the 8-lap Bandolero feature.
