Maybe a little slick track racing in Seekonk first, and then on to Waterford

It's a bullring, don't need all those spark plug wires. ;)

With all the grumbling about Loudon, I was going to start a thread to remind people that we actually did have a race this week, so thanks to Acadia for beating me to the punch.

This is an event that many of you wanted, the track stepped forward and wanted it as well, so let's celebrate an old friend returning to the Tour. We hope that you can support Waterford by coming out this Saturday, but if you can't make it, we're planning to bring you all of the evening's action from the announcers booth.

It will be my first trip to the Bowl, and the drivers tell me it's a racey track, so I'm looking forward to it.

I will be going with pork roll on.

I love Waterford. Last tour race there was the classic with Flemke and Lia running cleanlnly side by side for 40 something laps for the lead. Lia finally made the pass and went on to win. Great race and a great track. one of my faves. Looking forward to some side by side bulling racing. Bringing a virgin fan who's never been to the races before and hoping for a classic show.

Just heard on Modified Madness that NASCAR granted permission to Speedbowl Sid DiMaggio to film the tour race. Great News. That means Sid will be covering just as many Tour races as SPEED channel this season.

Travel info. Don't know anyones plans for the weekend but the CT DOT is planning to open the Northbound lanes of the new I 95 bridge in the New Haven area this weekend. Currently they are scheduled to have I95 northbound reduced to one lane from 8PM Friday until 8AM Saturday. other roads and ramps in the area will be closed at other times. Can check their website for updates. I believe it is www.ct.gov/dot

Hey -- I'd love to organize a get together but dont know Waterford all that well and not sure when we will get there. What time and where would it be good for all of us forum freaks to meet? 6:15 would seem to be a good time at least. I'll be wearing my West Ham United jersey!

5:00pm Qualifying Begins

If NASCAR would do as much as you to promote the mods, we'd be in great shape!
