Traffic advisory for anyone headed to Waterford Saturday on I95 North thru New Haven

Does anyone know of any alternate routes around this?

Unfortunately, the alternates can be just as painful.

Look into taking the Wilbur Cross up and over New Haven to around Hampden/ North Haven, then something like Rte 22 to get back to I-95 past the bridge construction.

The Wilbur Cross (15) runs parallel to I-95, and you might want to move over to 15 at exit 38 from I-95, before you get near New Haven.

Another option is once around Hampden, try I-91 south to Rte 80 east (Foxon Blvd), then head east on that a bit to get past Exit 50 on I-95.

Take the train to New London and a cab to Waterford!

If you have to go through the New Haven area, give yourself plenty of extra time. This construction detour is all over the news.
