For the second straight weekend at Mountain Speedway, Austin Kochenash of Danielsville held of his competition to score the Modified feature event win on Saturday night. Brian Wozniak of Drums took his second Street Stock victory of the season and Eric Banashefski of Ashley scored his first Four Cylinder feature win of the season. Taylor Doxtater took top honors in the INEX Legends and Nick Harnage grabbed his fifth INEX Bandolero victory of the season. The folks from Pure Platinum Fireworks put on a show for race fans following the on track action.

Harry Buchman led the Modified field to the drop of the green flag and led the opening lap of the 40-lap main event over Ken Vogel, Jr, Wayne Szerencsits, Todd Baer and Barry Callavini, but things changed in a hurry when EJ Heim spun and collected Chris Whitenight in turns three and four. The yellow flag flew and several cars collected in turn one, including Brian DeFebo, Nick Pecko, Allen Creveling, Dave Brigati and Jim Bojohnny. Several drivers pitted for repairs while others retired from the event.

Green flag racing resumed and Baer overtook Vogel for second. With five laps complete, Austin Kochenash ran third, with Callavini and Brian Sones in tow. Baer took the race lead and Callavini moved to third on lap eight but his day came to a close on the following circuit following an incident with Buchman. Brandon Oltra was collected as well.

Baer held the point for the restart and with 16 laps complete he continued to lead the way over Kochenash, Sones, Pecko and Oltra. Sones overtook Kochenash for second two circuits later and following a lap 22 restart, he and Baer raced hard for the lead. The yellow flew on the following lap for a single car spin and Sones headed in the pits with an oil leak and Baer pitted with a tire going down.

The change of events moved Kochenash to the helm, which he never relinquished over the closing laps. He went on to take his second straight victory over Oltra, who notched his best career effort. Creveling was third, followed by Pecko and Vogel.

Heat race victories went to Allen Creveling and Ken Vogel, Jr.

Daryl Schwartz started from the pole position and was overtaken for the race lead by Tony Hilliard in the 25-lap Street Stock feature. With a lap in the books, Schwartz ran second, followed by Kevin Higgins, Chris Burge and Mike Garris, Sr.

With two laps complete, Brian Wozniak got by Garris for fifth and then Higgins got by Schwartz for the second spot four laps later.

Hilliard continued to show the way until lap 11 when he was overtaken by Higgins.

With Higgins still in command on lap 13, the yellow flag waved when Burge and Schwartz tangled while battling for position in turns three and four. The change of events moved Wozniak, Chip Wanamaker and Steve Shultz behind Higgins and Hilliard for the restart.

With the green back out, Wozniak overtook Hilliard for second and Wanamaker made a three wide moved on the next circuit to gain the third spot. Wozniak reeled in the leader and then grabbed the top spot with six laps remaining.

With Higgins fighting a loose racecar in the closing laps, Wanamaker and Shultz gained positions, but neither one had anything for Wozniak, who scored his second win of the season. Wanamaker finished as the runner up, followed by Shultz, Higgins and Hilliard.

Heat race victories went to Kevin Higgins and Steve Shultz.

Larry Spencer III led the Four Cylinder field to the drop of the green flag in the 20-lap even and led the first circuit over John Smith, Eric Banashefski, Noah Fassman and Jay Skupski.

The first of two yellow flags waved when Cody Roth lost a wheel in turn four and following the restart, Banashefski got by Smith to take second. Banashefski powered by Spencer and took the race lead on the second lap and then Skupski climbed to third.

Following a lap six restart, Skupski moved to second but he lost the spot a lap later when he was overtaken by Frank Hughes.

The rest of the event ran green and Banashefski went on to notch his first feature win of the season over Hughes, Skupski, Spencer and Smith.

Larry Spencer III and Noah Fassman were heat race victors.

In his first start at the speedway, Taylor Doxtater went to victory lane in the INEX Legends main and Nick Harnage notched his fifth INEX Bandolero victory.
