No. 88 & No. 11 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Teams Penalized For Infractions At Caraway Speedway

NASCAR has penalized two NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour teams for rules infractions that were committed last week at Caraway Speedway.

The driver of the No. 11 car, Andy Seuss, and the driver of the No. 88 car, L.W. Miller, were found to be in violation of Section 12-1 (Actions detrimental to stock car racing, aggressive driving); per the 2012 NASCAR rule book. The violations occurred during the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour race on July 6.

As a result, both drivers have been placed on probation until Dec. 31.

Tony Templeton, crew chief of the No. 88, was found in violation of Section 12-1 (Actions detrimental to stock car racing. Failure to follow a directive from a NASCAR Official. Section 9-4A: The Crew Chief assumes responsibility for the actions of all Crew Members). Jimmy Baker, crew member of the No. 88 car, was found in violation of Section 12-1 (Actions detrimental to stock car racing. Involved in an altercation with a NASCAR Official).

As a result, Templeton and Baker have been fined $300 each, suspended from NASCAR competition until the fine is paid and placed on NASCAR probation until Dec. 31.
