Told ya! I was just a couple weeks off... At least next week there will be a lot of cars..... Let's have a good race...

Mid season cars torn up, money runs out, happens every year! The car count will be back up this week, then they get a week off for the tour to re group. Your looking way too much into it, trying to stir a pot that been simmering for years. The year start off with good numbers, middle of the year sponsorship dollars dry out, end of the year the numbers look good again. Go look at the other weekly modified tracks numbers and see how we are doing at the back gate! This was one week out of the year, your trying to start a fire with a bunch of sticks, but it's just not catching on! Most drivers will tell you funds run dry in the middle of the season and with equipment torn up, they have to save a few dollars and not just be out there riding around.

Im sure the car count will rebound big this week and maintain in following weeks. Weekly cars like the 59,14,09,2 and possibly 02 and 25 will be back. So that puts you back to 20. And you have plenty of part timers like the 51,20,39,38,13,58, and 19x to get you to 20-25 each week. So I think that 14 cars will be far from you weekly average for the rest of the season.

7/21 Mountain speedway had 29 cars total, with 4 divisions racing, I would be happy with 14 mods in this economy!!! I'm not complaining!!!

We're lucky that we still have a race track. We not only have a track but we have one that has been featuring the modifieds forever. Do I miss the days of 3 meaningful heat races and a consi with 10 cars? Sure, but that's not today's reality. I'm not complaining either.
