MODIFIEDS READY FOR 40-LAPPER; STREET STOCKS TWIN 25’S SATURDAY (JULY 28) AT WALL STADIUM

The popular open wheel Modified stock cars will return to action at Wall Stadium this Saturday night (July 28) after a week off joining Legend Cars, Factory Stock, Four Cylinder and Powder Puff racers in competition. The Street Stock racers will be in the spotlight in Twin 25 lap races. Grandstand seating will open at 5:00 p.m. and qualifying will start at 6:00 p.m.

Defending driving champion Chas Okerson of Freehold, the most recent Modified winner here, will lead the field to action, but is expected to see stiff competition from current point leader and defending champion Anthony Sesely of Matawan, Adam LaCicero of Lavallette, Shanon Mongeau of Farmingdale and Steven Reed of Freehold, just to name a few. The Modifieds will battle in a 40-lap main event.

The Twin 25 lap races for the Street Stocks will see defending champion and current point leader Howie Conk of Jackson get plenty of competition from Nick Shaw of Chatham, Bayville’s Mike Tillett, Jerry Stanzione of Keansburg and Beachwood’s Bill Vanderveen.

Also on the card will be the Legend Cars, Factory Stocks, the all-new Four Cylinders and a special Powder Puff race. The Sportsman cars will have the night off. The theme of the night will be “Pirate Night” with prizes being awarded for the best Pirate costume. A “bounce house” will also be offered for the children in attendance.

Pit gates will open at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday; with practice starting at 3:30 p.m. Grandstands will open at 5:00 p.m. and the first qualifying event takes the green flag at 6:00 p.m. Main events are scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
