MODIFIED MATCH RACES AND 4 CYLINDER 50-LAPPER HEADLINE SATURDAY (AUGUST 4) AT WALL STADIUM

Modified stock car match races and a 50-lap main event for the all-new 4 Cylinder division will highlight auto racing action at Wall Stadium this Saturday night (August 4). Grandstand seating will open at 5:00 p.m., qualifying will start at 6:00 p.m. and main events will follow.

For the first time ever the Modifieds will compete in match races where groups of two cars will compete head to head with the winner advancing and the loser being eliminated. This series of eliminations will continue until only two cars remain to race for the overall title. The winner of each race will pocket $250.

The all-new 4 Cylinder class, which has been well received by fans thus far, will compete in their first extra-distance race of the year, a 50-lap affair. Brick’s Mike Bilello was the winner the first time the 4 Cylinder cars competed in main event action.

Also on the card will be the Sportsman cars, Street Stocks and the Factory Stocks. The Legend Cars will have the night off. The theme of the night will be “Little League Night” with youngsters who arrive wearing their team shirts admitted free of charge.

Pit gates will open at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday; with practice starting at 3:30 p.m. Grandstands will open at 5:00 p.m. and the first qualifying event takes the green flag at 6:00 p.m. Main events are scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
